My earliest and fondest memory of trees would relate back to the Eucalyptus & Mulberry trees in the backyard of my parents home in the coastal suburb of Maroubra.
The eucalyptus tree was huge and was planted about a metre from the boundary. It made a perfect passage to climb up and across a branch and into my next-door neighbours house. Sandra and I have been married for over 40 years but have always had a love for both exotic and native trees, eucalypts in particular.
When our children were born we planted trees on their birth dates, 35 and 36 years ago. Because we chose big trees to celebrate their births we decided to plant them in the local park that was totally devoid of trees opposite our home.

It took me twelve months to find her but the day I did was one to remember, one worth writing about.
